Signing of an inter-institutional cooperation agreement between the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) and the University Diego Portales (UDP) – Chile.

 

The Executive Secretary of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), Andrés Rebolledo Smitmans, and the Pro Rector of the University Diego Portales (UDP), Cristóbal Marín Correa, signed the Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement with the objective of establishing the basis for joint collaboration for the exchange of knowledge and information in the field of energy.

OLADE is an intergovernmental organization for cooperation and technical advice on energy matters, created in 1973 to promote the integration, development, conservation, rational use, marketing and defense of energy resources in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

The University Diego Portales is a private academic institution founded in 1982, with a focus on the connection between teaching and research, internationalization and continuing education. Its academic project seeks to train quality professionals committed to the social, economic and cultural development of the country.

The agreement establishes several areas of cooperation, including just energy transition, energy integration and cooperation, development of renewable energy sources, hydrocarbons, electricity, coal, nuclear energy, energy and the environment, energy planning, energy policies, regulatory framework and energy efficiency.

Both institutions agree to collaborate in the design and development of research programs, training and related academic activities. They also commit to exchange information and knowledge, disseminate project results, provide technical and academic assistance, carry out joint projects, organize events and facilitate professional development.

With the signing of this agreement, OLADE and UDP strengthen their commitment to the development and promotion of energy in the region, fostering cooperation and the exchange of knowledge for the benefit of society.

Both institutions are pleased with this strategic alliance and hope that this agreement will contribute to the advancement and progress in the field of energy in Latin America and the Caribbean.
