Executive Secretary of OLADE, Strengthens Ties with Germany During Berlin Visit

In a series of high-level meetings, Andrés Rebolledo, the Executive Secretary of OLADE, engaged in discussions aimed at bolstering cooperation between Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and Germany in energy and economic matters.

During his visit to Berlin, Rebolledo held bilateral meetings with Niels Annen, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, and Christian Forwick, Head of LAC at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection of Germany.

The discussions focused on regional cooperation in energy and economic issues for LAC, as well as ways to strengthen relations in these key areas for sustainable development. Both parties reaffirmed the region’s commitment to transitioning towards clean and renewable energies, alongside the promotion of inclusive economic policies to drive equitable growth.

The ongoing support of Germany in technical and financial cooperation projects in LAC was highlighted, underscoring the importance of alliances to address common challenges and seize development opportunities in the region.

Furthermore, the importance of multilateral collaboration and the exchange of best practices in the implementation of energy and economic policies was emphasized.
