This document analyzes the progress made by Latin America and the Caribbean in energy transition over the past decade, highlighting the growth of renewable energy and improvements in electricity coverage. It also identifies pending challenges such as investments, grid modernization, digitalization, storage, and the reduction of social gaps. It stresses that regional cooperation, multisector collaboration, and robust public policies are key to positioning the region as a strategic actor in the fight against climate change, under a long-term vision based on innovation, inclusion, and sustainability.
