The Executive Secretary of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), Andrés Rebolledo, participated in the III P4G Summit that took place in Colombia, focused on the energy transition, biodiversity and sustainable cities.

For the first time, this important event was held in Latin America and aimed to promote partnerships and ventures that help countries meet their climate and development objectives, highlighting the region’s potential to strengthen low-emission industries and the fundamental role of efficiency in the Energy Transition.

In his speech, Andrés Rebolledo, Executive Secretary of OLADE, highlighted the importance of this event that fosters partnerships and ventures to help countries meet their climate and development objectives.

“It is no longer just a matter of decarbonizing the electricity sector, but now we must decarbonize the economy as a whole. Technological challenges will arise in which Latin America and the Caribbean have great opportunities in terms of green hydrogen, synthetic fuels and strategic critical minerals.”

The Summit, entitled: “Transformative alliances for sustainability: actions towards green growth and life”, was held in Bogotá, whose theme was biodiversity, the just energy transition and sustainable cities. More than 30 international guests participated in the different spaces for dialogue.
