The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) and the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) will promote the strengthening and integration of the energy sector in the region.

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) and the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) have formalized a memorandum of understanding to create a regulatory framework for joint collaboration with an emphasis on the development of activities related to the promotion, strengthening, and integration of the energy sector in the region.

The agreement focuses on actions that will improve access to energy products and services, energy security and transition, carbon emissions reduction, resilience promotion, electromobility, climate change mitigation and adaptation, sustainable energy development, as well as the creation of studies, designs, and the implementation of programs and projects, among other initiatives.

This alliance between BCIE and OLADE represents a convergence of visions and objectives to explore new dimensions of technical cooperation, with the goal of continuing to enhance the regional energy infrastructure, thereby enabling countries to progress in energy availability, electrical access for vulnerable families, and the implementation of renewable energy sources.

This partnership serves as a bridge of opportunities to improve the quality of life for millions of people.
