Soon, through the ETRELA project, access to renewable energy education in the region will be improved and facilitated

Improving, Increasing and Facilitating Access to Education and Training in Renewable Energy (E&T) in Latin America (LA) (ETRELA), is a project that is part of the International Climate Protection Initiative (IKI) ) and is led by the Latin American Energy Organization (Olade), which has the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Protection and Nuclear Safety of Germany, following a decision of the German Parliament (Bundestag).

This project has the participation of the Technological University of Uruguay (UTEC); the National University of Engineering of Peru (UNI); the Center for Studies of Energy Regulatory Activity (CEARE) of the University of Buenos Aires; the Academy of Renewable Energies of Germany (RENAC) and the company FACTOR (Ideas for change).

The objective of this initiative is to contribute to the sustainable development of the market in clean energies and reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) in the region, through the promotion of renewable energy education systems. Creating new capacities and increasing employment opportunities in the 27 Olade Member Countries.

To achieve this goal, ETRELA has planned a series of capacity building activities such as: virtual courses, webinars and face-to-face meetings, which will begin in the first quarter of 2020.
