January 2025
Report No. 11 Energy Inflation in Latin America and the Caribbean (IE-LAC)

In January 2025, energy inflation in Latin America and the Caribbean stood at 2.08% annually, remaining below the general inflation rate of 3.93%. This behavior is mainly due to a moderate rise in international oil prices, which drove monthly energy inflation to 0.26%. The region continues to experience lower energy inflation than OECD countries, reflecting a stable trend in energy costs that supports short-term economic sustainability.
