This monthly electricity generation report, corresponding to the month of April 2025, shows a significant increase in hydroelectric generation both compared to April of the previous year (year-on-year) and compared to March of this year (monthly), which together with the increase in wind generation, determine an improvement in the renewability index of the total generation matrix, which goes from 68% in April 2024 and 62% in March 2025 to 70% in April 2025, consolidating Latin America and the Caribbean as the region with the cleanest electricity matrix on the planet, where 8 countries in the region present for the reported month, a renewability index of their electricity generation higher than 75%.
