The Executive Secretary of OLACDE, Alfonso Blanco has traveled to southern cone countries to undertake continuous efforts to promote mutual cooperation with regional energy agencies and entities linked to the sector.
On February 21st OLACDE’s Executive Secretary met with Carlos Alvarez, and Cesar Llona, Secretary-General and Under Secretary of ALADI respectively (Latin American Integration Association). The dialogue focused on strengthening actions to promote regional integration processes.
As a result of this effort, the parties agreed to work together and identify the legal basis for integration in the region and to spot the validity and gaps in the implementation of regional agreements involving energy exchanges. It was also agreed to encourage joint bilateral projects that promote energy complementarity.
