The Permanent Secretariat of OLADE, with the support of specialized consultants and based on consultations with representatives of Member Countries, is conducting a study on analysis of barriers for energy integration in Latin America and the Caribbean and proposed recommendations for overcoming of such barriers.

From Monday 11 to Friday 15 June took place the Training Workshop for Managers of the Regional Energy Information System (SIE Regional) with the participation of delegates from fifteen Member Countries of the Latin American Energy Organization, OLADE.

The Fourth Session of the Technical Committee of the Regional Energy Information System SIER –Project was held on May 10 and 11 in Quito. This meeting has been developed by the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), in cooperation with the Inter-American Development Bank IADB and the technical support from the Member Countries.

On May 15 and 16 it was held in Quito the first working meeting of the delegations of OLADE and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) that make up the Steering Committee of the project on  “Sustainable Energy for Latin America and the Caribbean”, which began on April 2, to be implemented for six years, with with financial assistance estimated in 9.2 million Canadian Dollars.
