  450 professionals from the Region are trained in Generation with Renewable Energy

On Wednesday February 20 it took place the opening of the COURSE CAPEV 01: “Generation with Renewable Energy”, first course planned for the 2013 Training Program of the Latin American Energy Organization, OLADE.
The opening ceremony at OLADE’s facilities was attended by Dr. Victorio Oxilia Davalos, Secretary Executive of OLADE, Dr. Fernando Ferreira, Director of Integration, Dr. Gabriel Hernandez, Information Management and Training Coordinator and Ms. Lourdes Pillajo, Training Analyst.

  2013 OLADE's Training Program

The Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) will begin on 18 February 2013, its 2013 Training Program aimed primarily at officials, professionals and academics linked to the Ministries or Departments of Energy, regulatory agencies and energy companies.

 

The 2013 Program includes 23 on-line courses that will be taught in English and Spanish from February 18 to December 4, 2013. Among the most outstanding courses we have those related to the Executive Development Program for the Caribbean, where it is expected a significant participation of instructors from Caribbean countries.

The Director of Integration of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), Dr. Fernando Ferreira, participated in the third edition of the Energy Generation Congress Latin America EnerGen LatAm 2013, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on January 28 and 29.
 
The event, organized by ClarionEvents, had the support of the most important organizations in the power generation sector in Latin America. There were representatives from several sectors namely: government, regulators, investors, manufacturers of electrical equipment and power generation.

OLADE’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Victorio Oxilia Davalos, and the Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) held meetings in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of World Future Energy Summit 2013, in order to discuss issues related to inter-institutional cooperation to undertake projects for the benefit of the Latin American and the Caribbean countries.
