In October 2024, energy inflation in Latin America and the Caribbean recorded a slight monthly increase of 0.05%, driven mainly by higher prices for oil, electricity, and fuels. The annual rate rose to 1.71%, reversing the downward trend observed since May of that year. Meanwhile, energy inflation in OECD countries remained negative for the third consecutive month, though with a smaller decline, reaching -0.54%.
