The OLACDE December 2025 Newsletter confirms Latin America and the Caribbean’s (LAC) decisive progress toward a cleaner and more resilient energy matrix, highlighting a year of growth in renewables and an unprecedented expansion of sustainable mobility.
To advance these challenges and opportunities, OLACDE strengthened strategic cooperation by signing key agreements with MERCOSUR to promote regional energy integration and with the IAEE to co-organize the Global Energy Economics Conference in 2026. In addition, the organization promoted interregional dialogue on energy efficiency with Africa and Asia, and continued to support its member countries with tools such as the development of the National Energy Information System (sieBolivia) and specialized webinars on sustainable mobility to strengthen technical and regulatory capacities across the region.
