OLADE participated in the 34th La Jolla Energy Conference

Guido Maiulini, Head of Strategic Advisory at the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), took part in the 34th La Jolla Energy Conference, organized by the Institute of the Americas, where he discussed Mercosur gas integration as an opportunity to optimize infrastructure, attract investment, and enhance regional energy security.

During his remarks, Maiulini emphasized that:

“The Southern Cone has gas resources exceeding internal demand for more than half a century; the challenge is to turn that abundance into effective integration and regional energy development.”

He also presented the DEMA Project, an OLADE initiative aimed at building a regional energy data ecosystem, integrating information from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay, and leveraging artificial intelligence to improve energy planning, technical cooperation, and data-driven policymaking across Latin America and the Caribbean.

OLADE’s participation in this event reaffirms the organization’s commitment to sustainable development, regional energy integration, and digital transformation within the energy sector.
