November 2024
Report No. 9 Energy Inflation in Latin America and the Caribbean (IE-LAC)

In November 2024, energy inflation in Latin America and the Caribbean remained low, with a monthly increase of only 0.03% and an annual rate of 0.54%, mainly due to a 2.3% drop in international oil prices. This figure is considerably lower than the region’s overall inflation rate and contrasts with the increase in energy inflation in OECD countries, which reached 1.18% for the second consecutive month, reflecting differentiated global energy market dynamics.
