OLADE’S EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, ALFONSO BLANCO PARTICIPATES IN THE ARPEL REGIONAL OIL AND GAS CONFERENCE IN URUGUAY

The Regional Oil and Gas Conference, sponsored by ARPEL will take place from April 25 to 27, at the Conrad Hotel in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

The subject do be discussed at the fifth edition is "new energy reality.  Challenges and Opportunities ".

The Executive Secretary of OLADE, Alfonso Blanco was invited to participate as a speaker, who will present his conference on Wednesday, April 26 at the PLENARY SESSION 1 - Panel of Energy Ministers of the Region. New energy reality - Challenges and opportunities - Point of view of the governments in the region.

The intense agenda of the event, which will count with the participation of renowned exhibitors at a global and regional level, covers a wide range of topics. These are the most relevant subjects to bee addressed: Government strategies to attract investment; Outlook for the development of gas reserves in Latin America and the Caribbean; Challenges facing the upstream; The future of refining and petrochemicals, and the strategic importance of having an effective industrial cyber security program, among others.

 

The president of the Board of ARPEL, Carlos Colo, said "Latin America has an imperative need to add more citizens to be part of the modernity and progress.  This latent growth counts in the region with potential resources to support it.   ARPEL aims to be a vehicle for integration and regional collaboration for the development of energy where each country seems to have a more or less defined profile to focus on the development of certain energy topics, such as offshore, gas, shale resources and mature fields.  This thematic specialization will make cooperation and regional integration easier and the impact of the result will be more effective. "
