Energy Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean

The technological and digital revolution has generated a massive explosion of data in important sectors such as energy. That is why the Energy Hub was born, a space that concentrates data and relevant information on the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. Initiative that supports the Latin American Energy Organization (Olade) as a strategic partner.

The Energy Hub will contribute to the creation of knowledge that will make it possible to face the energy challenges of the region and thus improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. The HUB, led by the IDB, is built with the collaboration of its partners, academia and the public and private sector.

This September 28, launching day, we celebrate the International Day of the Right of Universal Access to Information. We want to celebrate this day with speakers of international stature such as the professor of civil and environmental engineering, and Director of the Atmosphere / Energy Program, Stanford University, Mark Z. Jacobson; the former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Christiana Figueres, the President and CEO of Liebrich Associates, Michael Liebrich, the President of the IDB, Luis Alberto Moreno and the Vice President of the IDB Sector, Ana MaríaRodríguez -Ortiz.
