Students from the Equinoctial Technological University of Ecuador made a technical visit to Olade

About 30 students from the Environmental Engineering course of the Equinoctial Technological University of Ecuador made a technical visit on July 19, 2018, to the Olade facilities to learn about the operation and benefits of a photovoltaic solar power plant installed in the gardens of the organization.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to get to know some of the relevant energy infrastructure projects in the region through an explanatory photographic collage.

In addition, they learned about Olade’s functions and areas of action by watching the institutional video that was shown by one of the Organization’s technicians. A tool that became a source of consultation to solve some of the concerns raised by the students; what is the role of Olade, what are its Member Countries, how does Olade contribute to promoting the use of renewable energies and energy efficiency in its Member Countries? Among others.

Oh this occasion the students also learned how to use the data stored in the Olade Energy Information System (SieLAC) for academic work.

It is a pleasure for Olade to have this type of academic visits and to contribute in a technical way to the academy and the community.
