Paraguay will host OLADE’s IX Energy Week for Latin America and the Caribbean.

OLADE’s Executive Secretary, Andrés Rebolledo Smitmans, highlighted the regional relevance of the event and expressed his special interest in the visit to Itaipu’s facilities, a central infrastructure project in the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.

For her part, Paraguay’s Minister of Public Works and Communications, Claudia Centurión, underscored the importance of Energy Week as an opportunity to highlight the country’s energy agenda, while the Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy, Mauricio Bejarano, expressed Paraguay’s pride at being designated as the venue for this important meeting, highlighting the country’s role as an example of energy integration in the region.

The Energy Week is one of the main instances of political and strategic dialogue on the subject at the regional level, with the participation of the ministers of the sector from the 27 OLADE member countries. It will also be a privileged space to strengthen collaboration and dialogue between the different actors in the energy sector, with a view to moving towards a more sustainable and resilient future in terms of energy.
