Olade was present at the Regional Meeting of the Clean Energy Corridor of Central America -CCECA-

Olade, through the Director of Integration, Energy Access and Security, Medardo Cadena, participated in the Regional Meeting of the Clean Energy Corridor of Central America -CCECA-. This event, which was organized by IRENA in coordination with the National Energy Secretariat of Panama and GIZ, dealt with issues related to the development of renewable energies at the regional level, incorporating regulatory, operational and commercial aspects.

In this meeting, the Director of Integration, Access and Energy Security of Olade participated during the discussion forum on the design and implementation of PPA´s for renewable energies (solar and wind) considering their particularities.

In the presentation, he presented Olade’s vision of the need to incorporate in the analysis, the complementarities that can be presented and the advantages of integration, as mechanisms to manage the roaming of renewable energies.

In addition, he spoke of the need to develop a joint effort between international agencies and organizations to make efficient use of the financial and human resources dedicated to dealing with this problem.

In this official mission to Panama, the Director of Integration, Access and Energy Security, Medardo Cadena, also had the opportunity to attend the launch of the RRA (Renewables Rediness Assessment) for Panama, where IRENA presented the recommendations for the development of renewable energies in the country.

This meeting was attended by government agencies, international bodies such as ECLAC, GIZ and representatives of the private sector.
