Olade provides legal advice to the Andean Parliament through the development of a draft law for the classification of energy crimes

In compliance with the commitments assumed within the framework of an inter-institutional cooperation agreement between OLADE and the Andean Parliament, in force since 2004, the Permanent Secretariat of the Organization provides advice and technical assistance, through the development and presentation of a draft framework law for the classification of energetic crimes.

For this purpose and in order to promote the debate prior to the approval of the draft law planned for the month of April of this year, OLADE, through the Legal Advisor, Tatiana Castillo, made a legal technical presentation on March 27, 2019, during the regular session of the Andean Parliamentarians held in Bogotá-Colombia.

OLADE’s proposal is aimed at contributing to the legal security of the energy sector of the Andean countries; through the approach and legislative harmonization as a fundamental element to reach higher levels of integration.

The current president of the Andean Parliament of Ecuadorian nationality, Hugo Quiroz and the Andean Parliamentarians of Chile, Peru, Bolivia, among others, were present at the sessions.
