Recent advances in information systems, statistics and energy planning were presented by the Latin American Energy Organization (Olade) through the Director of Studies, Projects and Information, Andrés Schuschny, during the 1st Regional Workshop: Energy Roadmap renewables and flexibility analysis for Central America. Event organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the National Secretariat of Energy of Panama (SNE); meeting held on September 4 and 5, 2019 in Panama City.
The workshop analyzed studies based on the energy planning tools REmap and FlexTool developed by IRENA. The contents dictated in this workshop are intended to facilitate discussions that can serve as input for the use of these tools and support the efforts of the countries of Central America for the transformation of their energy sector.
