Olade and the National University of Rosario sign a cooperation agreement for the implementation of the master’s degree: Energy Transitions

The Latin American Energy Organization (Olade) and the National University of Rosario – UNR signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of the master’s degree: Energy Transitions.

For Olade and the UNR, this formalization agreement within the framework of the consolidation of this academic proposal, strengthens the task that both institutions have been jointly carrying out for several years.

This was stated by Olade’s Executive Secretary, Alfonso Blanco and Rector Franco Bartolacci, respectively.

The executive secretary, Alfonso Blanco, highlighted the importance of training human resources to accompany and support energy transitions in the region.

There we have found in the UNR a strategic partner to carry forward the vision that an organization like Olade has in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Olade has to support the development of the energy sector in our region. The support to public policies for the promotion of a dynamic sector that can generate wealth and make the economies of our region progress,” he said.

That is why it is important to have an agreement that allows us to train human resources, not only for a country but for an entire region, in terms of energy transitions, which today are one of the main lines of action to tackle climate change and also to identify a mechanism to generate employment, add value to our economies and enable the development of the region.

The Executive Secretary also emphasized that, since the beginning of his administration, he has promoted the vast and rich academic system that LAC has and the great research centers in energy issues that the region has.

We celebrate from Olade this kind of progress, we are very grateful for the collaborative work that has had all our team with the support of the UNR team.

For his part, the rector of the UNR, Franco Bartolacci, thanked the possibility of considering “a training instance of excellence.”

We have made an enormous effort to direct all institutional resources to care for our environment. This has allowed our University to be designated by the academic office of the United Nations as the headquarters of Goal 13 of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). In this sense, the agreement with Olade, greatly strengthens what we have worked in this area.” Added the Rector of the UNR, Franco Bartolacci.

He also thanked the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the UNR, in charge of Professor Darío Maiorana, for the efforts made in this partnership.

This virtual session was also attended by the director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, Professor Darío Maiorana; Marcelo Vega and Rubén Piacentini from the master’s degree management and coordination team; Pablo Garcés and Guillermo Koutoudjian from Olade’s technical team.

We will soon inform about the introductory courses to be held.
