Olade and the Guyana Energy Agency held the workshop to close the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Efficiency Programme

Olade and the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA), with the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), held a workshop in Georgetown, Guyana, on August 15, 2018, to close the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Efficiency Program (PALCEE) developed within the framework of the second phase of the Program.

The workshop was attended by a large number of officials involved in the management of public buildings, who took note of the various methodologies implemented in the pilot projects for the installation of efficient equipment, which were carried out in three public buildings in the Cooperative Republic of Guyana (Leonora Cottage Hospital, National Cultural Centre and the Works Services Group Building of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure).

The event was opened by the CEO of the Guyana Energy Agency, Mahender Sharma, who highlighted the relevance of the activities carried out under the PALCEE II Programme in Guyana and encouraged participants to implement energy efficiency programmes in more public buildings to generate energy savings.
