The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) is organizing the Off-grid workshop as part of the Intersolar South America event, to be held in the city of Sao Paulo on August 28, 2018.
The Intersolar South America event this year focuses on empowering communities through access to clean energy.
The Off-grid workshop will include the following sessions:
- Session 1: Transformation of policies for tariff designs, local socio-economic
growth with job creation for youth and women by the integration of RE with other sectors
- Session 2: Fit-for-purpose solar (-hybrid) business cases for competitive provision of clean
energy access and ways of accelerating the regional markets
- Session 3: Role of big data in the off-grid sector and to improve the financing setup for off-grid clean rural electrification in the region.
