On Wednesday July 26, 2017, OLADE’s highest representatives, Alfonso Blanco – Executive Secretary and Andrés Schuschny -Director of Studies, Projects and Information, held a meeting with Manfred Häbig, representative authority of the German Corporation for International Cooperation-GIZ and Reinaldo Penailillo, ECLAC Chile’s official for GIZ.
During this approach, the Executive Secretary made a presentation on the activities that OLADE is currently developing and about the ongoing work programs. This presentation was aimed at highlighting the opportunities for collaboration and coordination between the two organizations. In this context, a number of relevant issues were considered: work in the Caribbean Sub-region, studies on integration and complementation of electric dispatch systems, micro-generation and market governance in the energy transition context. This space was also used to analyze the possibility that the GIZ Energy Sector Network could participate during the Energy Week, an event to be held in December in Buenos Aires-Argentina.
