Currently, it is estimated that there are around 7,000 data centers dedicated to AI worldwide, consuming approximately 350 TWh of electricity annually, with a projected increase of 165% by 2030. This growth presents significant challenges for the region&#8217;s electrical systems, which already face issues such as blackouts due to outdated infrastructure and insufficient investments.<br \/>\nIn this context, the bulletin highlights the urgent need to modernize electrical networks through advanced technological solutions and greater regional interconnection. Experts emphasize that the resilience of these networks is vital to ensure a reliable supply, especially in the face of extreme climate events and amidst increasing electrification.<br \/>\nAdditionally, three strategic axes are identified to strengthen energy planning, improve efficiency, and promote international cooperation.
