Additionally, as part of regional integration efforts, the first phase of the Mercosur Gas Integration Project was completed in collaboration with CAF, aiming to strengthen energy security through infrastructure optimization and strategic planning in the gas sector. In terms of gender equity, OLACDE and the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Ecuador signed an agreement to increase women&#8217;s participation in the energy-mining sector, with a goal of reaching 35% by 2030. Furthermore, this month, a Memorandum of Understanding was formalized with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), focusing on enhancing energy infrastructure resilience against climate change and improving the integration of renewable energies into regional energy planning. In the field of capacity-building, the 2025 Energy Training Program was launched through the CapevLAC platform, offering free courses on energy policies, innovative technologies, and energy transition. Finally, OLACDE&#8217;s report on energy inflation in 2024 reveals that the region maintained a 1.51% rate, significantly lower than the 4.03% total inflation rate, demonstrating the sector&#8217;s stability amid international price fluctuations.
