Siroit presented updates from the Latin America and Caribbean Methane Observatory, an OLACDE-led initiative aimed at enhancing methane emissions measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems and fostering regional transparency in meeting climate goals.<\/p>\n
He also shared recent developments in low-emission natural gas certification, emphasizing the need for regional cooperation to create common methane intensity standards that support both competitiveness and sustainability in the Latin American energy sector.<\/p>\n
