The Director of Studies, Projects, and Information of The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE), Fitzgerald Cantero, participated as a Keynote Speaker at the 4th \u201cGuayaquil, City of Energy\u201d Congress, organized by CECERNALC.<\/p>\n
This event brought together experts, academics, and energy sector leaders to reflect on the challenges and opportunities facing Latin America and the Caribbean in energy efficiency, renewable energies, planning, and public policy.<\/p>\n
During his keynote presentation, Cantero shared a strategic perspective on the energy challenges of the region, emphasizing the role of cities, sustainable mobility, and regional energy planning.<\/p>\n
\u201cEnergy public policies must become State policies. We are talking about major projects, significant investments, and great challenges all of which require long-term vision, strong institutions, and clear rules that ensure the return of those investments.<\/p>\n
There are no universal formulas, but one certainty remains: energy is vital, and it must be managed with responsibility, technological diversity, and regional cooperation,\u201d stated Cantero.<\/p>\n
