This requires coordinated planning among countries and greater regional power integration to ensure competitiveness and security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The panel also featured Trinidad Castro, Regional Director for Latin America at the World Energy Council; Cristi\u00e1n Aguirre, CEO of Empresas GASCO; and Juan Villavicencio, CEO of Engie Chile.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion explored energy security challenges, the role of gas as a backup source, the growth of solar energy, and the importance of public policies that support the sustainable development of
