The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) held the second edition of the 2025 Energy Excellence Award during the X Energy Week in Santiago, Chile. The ceremony brought together regional authorities, representatives from the public and private sectors, academia, and international organizations, in a space that celebrated innovation and commitment in the best energy projects across Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n
This year reached a record of 104 applications from 15 countries, distributed across four main categories: Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Education, and Decarbonization. Each category included subcategories that recognized the contributions of public and private entities, as well as initiatives with impact on large, medium, and small communities.<\/p>\n
In his opening remarks, OLACDE\u2019s Executive Secretary, Andr\u00e9s Rebolledo, emphasized the importance of showcasing projects that make a difference in the regional energy transition, highlighting the creativity and commitment of the applicants. The ceremony also featured the participation of Chilean authorities, the host country of the X Energy Week.<\/p>\n
Awarded Projects
\nThe winners were selected by an international Evaluation Committee made up of experts and representatives from OLACDE, the Business Council, and the host country, along with renowned specialists in energy efficiency, renewable energy, education, and decarbonization.
