At the headquarters of The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE), the National Workshop on Building Women in Energy Networks \u2013 Ecuador was held, an initiative promoted by OLACDE in collaboration with the Women in Energy Association (AME).<\/p>\n
During the opening, OLACDE\u2019s Executive Secretary, Andr\u00e9s Rebolledo, highlighted the need to incorporate gender equity as a cross-cutting axis in public policies and corporate management within the energy sector.<\/p>\n
Gloria Alvarenga, OLACDE\u2019s Director of Integration, Access and Energy Security, stressed: \u201cTo break down barriers, we must ensure that women\u2019s voices and experiences are an integral part of every decision.\u201d<\/p>\n
In turn, P\u00eda Su\u00e1rez, President of AME, emphasized that the workshop seeks to build networks from civil society, in coordination with both the public and private sectors, adding: \u201cWe are not only here to share successes, but also mistakes, so that each country can advance from its own experience. This space is designed to talk, share, and build together.\u201d<\/p>\n
With this workshop, OLACDE reaffirms its commitment to inclusion, female leadership, and the creation of collaborative networks that strengthen women\u2019s participation in the energy transition across Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
