This Technical Note highlights the key elements of these strategies, along with relevant figures from both national estimates and OLACDE.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"901\">One key finding, for instance, is the projected job creation in this emerging industry. In the long term, the low-emission hydrogen sector could generate nearly <strong data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"878\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">350,000 jobs<\/span><\/strong> throughout the region.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"1312\">Based on project installation targets and regional production projections, by 2050, the installed electrolysis capacity could reach around <strong data-start=\"1042\" data-end=\"1052\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">200 GW<\/span><\/strong>, while <strong data-start=\"1060\" data-end=\"1095\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">electricity generation capacity<\/span><\/strong> would exceed <strong data-start=\"1109\" data-end=\"1119\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">400 GW<\/span><\/strong>. The Note analyzes the importance of this energy vector for the region and anticipates that <strong data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1261\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">hydrogen exports will surpass 11 million tons<\/span><\/strong>, representing revenues of over <strong data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1311\"><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">USD 13 billion<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1314\" data-end=\"1608\">To achieve this, several conditions must be met \u2014 most notably, the necessary investments to develop the industry. This includes infrastructure for electrolysis and power generation.
