{"id":26728,"date":"2024-12-13T17:43:33","date_gmt":"2024-12-13T22:43:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.olade.org\/noticias\/offshore-wind-and-nuclear-power-studies-along-with-the-development-of-storage-are-the-industrys-trends-for-2025-according-to-olade\/"},"modified":"2025-02-12T14:10:31","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T19:10:31","slug":"offshore-wind-and-nuclear-power-studies-along-with-the-development-of-storage-are-the-industrys-trends-for-2025-according-to-OLACDE","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/www.olade.org\/en\/noticias\/offshore-wind-and-nuclear-power-studies-along-with-the-development-of-storage-are-the-industrys-trends-for-2025-according-to-OLACDE\/","title":{"rendered":"Offshore wind, nuclear, and storage: key energy trends in 2025, according to OLACDE"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"single-news-header-subtitle\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>El organismo advirti\u00f3 que a pesar de que la regi\u00f3n cuenta con los potenciales de sobra y recursos energ\u00e9ticos primarios necesarios para la descarbonizaci\u00f3n acelerada de la matriz de generaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica, &#8220;no necesariamente contar\u00eda con los recursos econ\u00f3micos o financieros requeridos para esta transici\u00f3n&#8221;.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>La Organizaci\u00f3n Latinoamericana y Caribe\u00f1a de Energ\u00eda (OLACDE) revel\u00f3 este mi\u00e9rcoles el informe sobre el Panorama Energ\u00e9tico de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe 2024.<\/p>\n<p>En esta instancia, el director ejecutivo del organismo, Andr\u00e9s Rebolledo, explic\u00f3 que este tipo de estudios son los instrumentos que se requieren para crear pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Este a\u00f1o ha sido muy intenso en materia energ\u00e9tica en el mundo y la regi\u00f3n&#8221;,\u00a0indic\u00f3 el economista, quien a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que la &#8220;regi\u00f3n sigue mostrando un liderazgo en materia de transformaci\u00f3n del sector energ\u00e9tico hacia un modelo m\u00e1s sostenible&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el exministro chileno,\u00a0Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe &#8220;ser\u00e1 la regi\u00f3n m\u00e1s verde y l\u00edder en transformaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica en el mundo&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>Desaf\u00edos de 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Al mismo tiempo, Rebolledo apunt\u00f3 que durante 2024 la industria ha tenido que enfrentar ciertas barreras.\u00a0&#8220;Ha convivido con otras urgencias que son de corto plazo. Ha tenido que vivir momentos complejos en lo que respecta al impacto de la crisis clim\u00e1tica y ha enfrentado el racionamiento el\u00e9ctrico en algunos mercados&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Para \u00e9l, la regi\u00f3n se ha enfrentado a desaf\u00edos m\u00e1s relacionados con la seguridad energ\u00e9tica y a la adaptaci\u00f3n de la estrategia de cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>Todo este contexto, &#8220;ha venido a reforzar la prioridad que debemos tener en la diversificaci\u00f3n de las\u00a0fuentes de energ\u00edas y la integraci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>En ese sentido, enfatiz\u00f3 que existen algunos mercados que han logrado sortear la crisis energ\u00e9tica porque han tenido vecinos que los han ayudado a terminar con las carencias de este sector.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 se ver\u00e1 en 2025?<\/h2>\n<p>Rebolledo destac\u00f3 que durante 2024 han emergido temas relevantes para el desarrollo del sector, pero al mismo tiempo son factores que &#8220;veremos con m\u00e1s fuerza en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Coment\u00f3 que uno de estos temas es\u00a0&#8220;la incorporaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica offshore. Es una tecnolog\u00eda que no existe emplazada en nuestros pa\u00edses y que en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os tendremos en evaluaci\u00f3n para inversiones en mercados como\u00a0Brasil\u00a0y\u00a0Colombia&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Junto con esto, apunt\u00f3 que &#8220;es una tecnolog\u00eda que estar\u00e1 presente en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os en Am\u00e9rica Latina&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>El segundo tema es la energ\u00eda nuclear, que solo Argentina,\u00a0Brasil\u00a0y M\u00e9xico la tienen, y celebr\u00f3 que\u00a0&#8220;el debate sobre la energ\u00eda nuclear se empiece a instalar en la regi\u00f3n&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, el tercer factor es la creaci\u00f3n de almacenamiento para la energ\u00eda producida. &#8220;Es un tema que est\u00e1 latente, que est\u00e1 en discusi\u00f3n de manera incipiente en algunos mercados, mientras que en otros ya se pueden establecer acciones&#8221;, argument\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, esto viene de la mano con la necesidad que existe de mirar el mercado el\u00e9ctrico sist\u00e9micamente: generaci\u00f3n, transporte y transmisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Este es un asunto que en Am\u00e9rica Latina hoy es significativo porque hay pa\u00edses que requieren de esta infraestructura y otros una planificaci\u00f3n arm\u00f3nica para no tener sobreoferta y perder la producci\u00f3n&#8221;, explic\u00f3.<\/p>\n<h2>Inflaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica y lo que pas\u00f3 en 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de estos temas que estar\u00e1n presente en 2025 y cada vez m\u00e1s fuerte en los a\u00f1os venideros, Rebolledo destac\u00f3 la reducci\u00f3n de la\u00a0inflaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica durante 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Este indicador mostr\u00f3 una baja &#8220;significativa y sistem\u00e1tica&#8221; de los precios de la energ\u00eda, especialmente en electricidad e hidrocarburos.<\/p>\n<p>Esta tendencia descendente inici\u00f3 en febrero, sin embargo, desde agosto &#8220;se aprecia una tendencia diferente en relaci\u00f3n a 2023, ya que mientras que en el a\u00f1o anterior experimenta un alto crecimiento, debido principalmente a que el precio del petr\u00f3leo, durante 2024 se mantuvo la tendencia a la baja\u00a0alcanzando un efecto de deflaci\u00f3n en septiembre con una cifra de -0,10%, debido principalmente a que el precio del petr\u00f3leo ha venido cayendo desde US$ 89 en abril a US$ 73 por barril en septiembre de 2024&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Bajo este contexto,\u00a0Rebolledo enfatiz\u00f3 sobre la importancia de cerrar las brechas en la eneg\u00eda. Para lograrlo, consider\u00f3 que es necesario &#8220;fomentar la cooperaci\u00f3n e interconexi\u00f3n internacional,\u00a0as\u00ed como impulsar la electrificaci\u00f3n, la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica y el desarrollo del hidr\u00f3geno de bajas emisiones como vector clave para la descarbonizaci\u00f3n&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Al mismo tiempo, destac\u00f3 que de cara al futuro, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/dfsud.com\/dfsud\/site\/artic\/20240723\/pags\/20240723144202.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l<\/a>os pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe, continuar\u00e1n con el proceso de transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica\u00a0cuyo efecto ha sido m\u00e1s evidente desde la firma del acuerdo de Par\u00eds (2015), con\u00a0una clara tendencia al alza en la participaci\u00f3n de las fuentes de energ\u00eda renovable en la matriz energ\u00e9tica, principalmente en el sector de generaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica, donde se espera que el \u00edndice de renovabilidad supere el 70% a 2030 y el 75% a 2050&#8243;.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de que la regi\u00f3n cuenta de sobra con los potenciales y recursos energ\u00e9ticos primarios necesarios para la descarbonizaci\u00f3n acelerada de la matriz de generaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica,\u00a0&#8220;no necesariamente contar\u00eda con los recursos econ\u00f3micos o financieros requeridos para esta transici\u00f3n, que con los costos unitarios promedio actuales de inversi\u00f3n de los diferentes tipos de centrales el\u00e9ctricas, ascender\u00eda a m\u00e1s de US$ 400.000 millones a 2030 y cerca de los US$ 2 billones (millones de millones) a 2050&#8221;, advirti\u00f3 el economista.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, uno de los temas que toc\u00f3 el informe es eldesarrollo de hidr\u00f3geno, especialmente verde, en Am\u00e9rica Latina. En ese sentido, el documento explica que pa\u00edses como Brasil est\u00e1n liderando la carrera que siguen por detr\u00e1s mercados como Argentina, Chile, Ecuador y Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>Fuente:<a
