[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) makes available the publication Energy Outlook of Latin America and the Caribbean 2019 (LAC Energy Outlook\u00a0 2019), English version, which presents the most relevant information on the energy sector of the Organization’s Member Countries, as well as aggregated information at the subregional and regional level for Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

This publication displays more than 1000 time series charts, energy supply and demand data, installed capacity, electricity generation, indicators and economic, socioeconomic and environmental information, as well as Sankey diagrams of the energy matrix, to name just a few examples.<\/p>\n

For the second consecutive year, this document presents a comparative analysis of prospective studies carried out by different organizations for the period 2017-2040; disaggregated by 5-year periods, at the global, subregional and regional levels, the results of which have been harmonized by OLACDE, through common variables that allow forecasting and comparing the analysis of the future situation of the energy sector.<\/p>\n

In the case of Latin America and the Caribbean, the document shows the projections made by OLACDE, considering two scenarios (Current Policy Scenario -CPS- and the High Gasification Scenario -HGS-), using the “Model for Simulation and Analysis of the Energy Matrix (SAME) \u201ddeveloped by OLACDE.<\/p>\n

A chapter on the most relevant events in the energy sector in different areas and details the most recent changes in each country on “Legislation, regulation and energy policy”\u00a0is also included.<\/p>\n

From OLACDE we hope that the Energy Outlook of Latin America and the Caribbean 2019, English version, becomes a document that contributes to the knowledge of the energy sector and is a benchmark for energy information in the countries of the region.<\/p>\n
