Energy Ministers from the member countries of the International Energy Forum (IEF), leaders of the energy sector and heads of international organizations, gathered from 10 to 12 April 2018 in New Delhi to discuss the future of energy security world, during the 16th Ministerial Conference of the International Energy Forum (IEF16).<\/p>\n
The Director of Studies, Projects, and Information of OLACDE, Andr\u00e9s Schuschny, attended the event and had the opportunity to present the latest progress in the development of sieLAC and the Yearbook of Energy Statistics 2017 at the OLACDE stand.<\/p>\n
The 16th Ministerial Conference of the International Energy Forum aimed to address issues such as; global changes, transition policies, new technologies that influence market stability, future investments, and trade patterns in the energy sector.<\/p>\n
The dialogue, between ministers and leaders of the sector, focused on analyzing how the security and resilience of energy systems will evolve and will face economic, demographic and environmental challenges on a global scale.\u00a0 They also discussed how they would contribute to ensuring an energy future that is affordable, productive, sustainable and fair for all.<\/p>\n
Within the framework of the IEF16, the VI Meeting of the Heads of the Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) and the Information Seminar of the same organization were held, where the participating organizations reaffirmed their commitment to continue their collaboration with the initiative, as well as to promote the use of the information platform available to JODI.<\/p>\n
In this way, the event helped to reaffirm the commitment to the producer-consumer dialogue promoted by the IEF, with a view to ensuring an orderly energy transition in a context in which energy supply chains are increasingly complex, interconnected and extensive.<\/p>\n
