The technical and financial conclusions and recommendations were discussed during a workshop held last July 7, in the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) of the Dominican Republic. This activity was attended by representatives of the Net Measurement Program (PMN) of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, as well as by the members of ASOFER, EDEESTE, EDESUR, ETED and the Superintendence of Electricity. This space allowed the collection of comments and observations of the participating institutions and the content of the study was completed.<\/p>\n<p>The information gathered in the study reveals some key points that could give rise to legal and regulatory changes that serve as a basis for resolving different positions in the interpretation of established rules. In this sense, the institutions of the country&#8217;s energy sector are working in a coordinated way to keep pace with the evolution of the electricity system. With the objective of maintaining the continuity of the electric service in harmony with the technical and legal rules interposed, by the regulatory system at national level.
