20 delegations from Olade Member Countries attended the L Council of Experts

The L Council of Experts, which was held at Olade’s headquarters in Quito-Ecuador on July 31st and August 1st, 2018 was attended by 20 delegations from Olade Member Countries. The L Council of Experts, in its capacity as preparatory committee for the Ministerial Meeting, discussed important draft ministerial decisions on technical and organizational aspects. The meeting also acknowledged the progress made in the management of the Organization.

During this meeting, the representatives of the Member Countries watched an institutional video on the three successful Olade’a projects that were implemented in Guatemala, Bolivia and Guyana, where 4,109 people benefited, through a rural electrification methodology of Olade called Rural Energization Project Management Methodology with Social Variables Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Executive Secretary, Alfonso Blanco, thanked the delegations representing the Member Countries for “the effective convening of this Council of Experts”.

At the beginning of the meeting, Roberto Fariña, representative of Paraguay and Oscar de la Maza representative of the Dominican Republic, were appointed president and vice-president, respectively, according to the alphabetical order of the countries attending the meeting. Previous positions were represented by Chile and Mexico for one year.
