In all existing regional integration in Latin America and the Caribbean, the energy issue has become strategic. Integration projects are in development and growth in the Region.
Electricity interconnections, gas pipelines, fuel and oil exchanges, joint renewable energy programs, review and development of international trade agreements and energy integration are progressing.
How are countries resolving their asymmetries, their regulatory and legal differences? What experiences of mutual exchange and cooperation can be replicated? What are the energy, economic and legal criteria for such exchanges? What barriers to integration must be overcome? What can we learn from successful projects and what can we learn from those that were not implemented or have not been successful?
The "integration" network seeks to answer these questions and give experts a space where information and experience can be organized and can be debated and discussed by its members.
