The South-South Cooperation program is a Mechanism for Technical Assistance Requirements Management on energy among the Member Countries of OLADE to promote, encourage and consolidate bilateral cooperation and multilateral energy through timely and expeditious actions to:
- Collaborate with the implementation of national energy policies of the Member Countries.
- Project experiences and best practices at regional level by strengthening sustainable development processes successfully implemented.
- Implement an effective mechanism for cooperation and agile real-time permanent arrangement that meets the technical assistance needs of OLADE's Member Countries.
- Exploit OLADE's potential to facilitate the exchange of specialists, knowledge and experience to promote joint efforts at the regional level to develop programs and energy integration initiatives.
Operational Organization of the South - South cooperation Network.
OLADE will operate as a facilitator and manager of the South-South cooperation, based on their technical personnel, their information systems, and experts networks. This function is exercised through the roles of designer, mediator, coordinator, mentor, evaluator and resource manager.
SSC National Managers
OLADE's National Coordinators will be responsible for the approval of SSC offers or demands before publication on the network. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining and updating the information in your country by sending required data.
The SSC Manager will be responsible for broadcasting in his/her country the mechanism to address the South-South Cooperation requirements and will meet the information requests by domestic users.

The SSC Network has an easily accessible electronic form whereby those interested in accessing the technical assistance on energy shall make the request by stating the basic data of their request and expectations thereof.
Technical SSC Documents
The SSC Network has technical documents that establish guidelines for its operation such as protocols, instructions, operating manuals and others. These documents will be developed by OLADE and will be made available to the SSC National Managers to make contributions and modifications allowing the unification and standardization of criteria for effectiveness of the mechanism of requirements addressing.
