The XLVIII Council of Experts was held in Quito, Ecuador

About 20 Representatives of the OLADE Member Countries met on June 20 and 21, 2017 at the XLVIII Council of Experts, which was helt at the headquarters of the Organization in Quito, Ecuador.

The XLVIII Council of Experts, in its capacity as the preparatory committee for the Meeting of Ministers, considered important draft ministerial decisions on technical and organizational aspects.

The Executive Secretary, Alfonso Blanco, thanked the delegations representing the Member Countries for “the effective call made for the realization of this XLVIII Council of Experts “.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President and Vice-President of the Council was elected. Cristina Silva, from Chile and Erika Streu from Mexico were appointed as President and Vice-President of the Council respectively.  The previous nominations were represented by the countries of Bolivia and Uruguay for one year.

The delegations of the Member Countries that attended the meeting were: Algeria, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Mexico, Honduras, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
