The importance of institutionality and the need to generate market conditions was exposed during the 24th World Energy Congress

Energy for prosperity was the motto of the 24th World Energy Congress, organized every three years by the World Energy Council (WEC), an event that offered a platform for world energy leaders to explore new futures in the sector; critical areas for innovation and new strategies. The Director of Integration, Access and Energy Security of the Latin American Energy Organization (Olade), Medardo Cadena, participated during said Congress on September 9-12, 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

New regional perspectives; design of attractive energy markets for Latin America and the Caribbean, was the name of the forum in which the Director of Integration, Access and Energy Security of Olade participated. He discussed the importance of institutionality and the need to generate market conditions, which promote the incorporation of renewable energies under cost efficient conditions for the systems.

In a second participation, the Director of Integration, Access and Energy Security of Olade, Medardo Cadena, was present at the FEL’s Talent Bridge Session, where he spoke about the energy integration of the region. This session consisted of sharing experiences and visions with 100 young people, worldwide, who are part of the FEL (Future Energy Leaders) and who aspire to be future energy leaders.
