Tarija will host the XLV Meeting of Ministers of OLADE

The city of Tarija will host the 45th Meeting of Ministers of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) and today, the President Evo Morales, the Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy, Luis Alberto Sanchez, will make the official launching of the event with the presence of the Executive Secretary of OLADE, Fernando César Ferreira.

"The Bolivian State, through the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy, decided to hold this important event in the city of Tarija since it is the Department with the highest oil production and its important role in the energy sector," noted Minister Luis Alberto Sánchez.

 

OLADE's meeting will be held in Tarija on October 26th to 30th at the Los Parrales Hotel. It is organized by the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and OLADE, sponsored by YPFB Corporation, the National Electricity Company (ENDE ).

 

"Tarija will receive the Ministers and Authorities of the energy sector in 27 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean whose main theme is" Funding Sustainable Energy Development and Regional Integration," stressed the Minister in an institutional newsletter.

 

Bolivia was chosen to host the XLV Meeting of Ministers of OLADE developed during the last Ministerial session in 2014.

 

The launching of this event will be at the Los Parrales Hotel, today at three in the afternoon. OLADE's mission is to contribute to integration, sustainable development and energy security of the region, advising and promoting cooperation and coordination among its Member Countries.   The vision of this international organization is to be the political and technical support Organization through which its Member States make joint efforts towards regional and sub-regional energy integration.
