OLADE’s Executive Secretary, Fernando César Ferreira, received the guest of honor distinction by the City Council of Tarija of the Hydrocarbon Ministry of Energy in Bolivia.

This Monday morning, the Executive Secretary of the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) was awarded the title of "Guest of Honor" by the Tarija's City Council. The Executive Secretary visited the city of Tarija starting this Sunday to attended the launching of the XLV Meeting of Ministers of OLADE. The distinction was made by the President of the City Council, Alfonzo Lema, in the presence of the Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy, Luis Alberto Sanchez, the Mayor of Tarija, Rodrigo Paz Pereira, among other guests.

The Municipal Council Ordinance No. 025/2015 was awarded to Dr. Ferreira during an official ceremony held in the Red Room of the City Hall.

Dr. Ferreira, a Brazilian national, holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Production Engineering and Economy. Until December 2013, he was Director of Integration of OLADE and member of a group of consultants to IPEA issues on international cooperation between Brazil and Venezuela in the power, oil and gas area. He has worked for 30 years in the electricity sector in the areas of planning, finance and engineering. He specializes in the process of tariff revisions. He has held the position of coordinator of the energy program information (SNIE / MME) at the Ministry of Mines and Energy of Brazil, among many other important ones.

The launching of the ministerial meeting will be on Monday afternoon at 15:00 at the Los Parrales Hotel and will be attended by the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Evo Morales Ayma.

The XLV Meeting of Ministers of OLADE, which will host representatives from 27 countries, will be held on October 26 to 30 in the city of Tarija, whose main theme is "Funding for Sustainable Energy Development and Regional Integration".
