OLADE, through its Director of Studies, Projects and Information, Andrés Schuschny, is partipating of the 4th Regional Energy Congress COREN 2017, which runs from August 23 to 25, 2017 in the city of San Salvador. This year’s slogan is: Energy and Development towards the Future.
This regional initiative is attended by important representatives of the Central American energy sector, as well as international speakers who share their visions on current and future challenges in the field of energy. This area also reveals the latest trends and technological innovations, which affect both the regional electricity market and generation projects from renewable sources, and energy management projects in general.
The Director of Studies, Projects and Information, Andrés Schuschny, participated during the session; Technological Development: Renewable Energies in Central America, a topic that was discussed on the impact of innovation, climate change and competitiveness in the implementation of renewable energy policies, programs and projects in the Region.
During the panel named: Socio-economic impact of renewable energies, it was presented to the audience the social, environmental and economic benefits generated by the promotion of renewable energies, as well as the impacts on employment, local development and the economy.
