OLADE participated in the 2nd JODI Data User Seminar and the JODI Inter-Secretariat Technical Meeting held in London

OLADE’s Coordinator of Information Management and Training of OLADE participated in the Second JODI Data-User Seminar that took place in London on Wednesday, February 3rd 2016. The seminar was hosted by the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) of United Kingdom with support of the JODI Partner Organisations (APEC, Eurostat, GECF, IEA, IEF, OLADE, OPEC and UNSD). The objective of having this seminar was to provide the latest information of the activities that are being held by the JODI Oil and Gas partnership to the JODI user-community (energy market analysts from oil and gas companies, commodity traders, research and financial institutions, etc), to promote discussion and active participation, and to receive the users’ feedback in order to enhance the current information and features of this initiative.

OLADE upgrades the monthly supply and demand oil and gas data of Latin American and Caribbean countries in the OLADE’s SIEE database (http://sier.olade.org). That information is submitted to the JODI Oil and Gas World database (https://www.jodidata.org). The monthly supply and demand oil and gas data of OLADE is being used for research, transparency and decision making purposes.
