Olade attended the Forum I World Energy Council – Paraguayan Committee

Olade through its Executive Secretary, Alfonso Blanco, was invited to the official launch of the Forum I World Energy Council – Paraguayan Committee, in the city of Hernandarias, Alto Paraná to make a presentation on Regional Energy Integration on April 11, 2018.

In the presentation of the Paraguayan Committee to the World Energy Council (WEC), the 2040 Energy Policy was explained, which established in accordance with Decree No. 6092/2016, and whose strategic vision is to meet the energy needs of the population and all productive sectors, with criteria of quality, socio-environmental responsibility and efficiency, making energy a factor for economic growth, industrial development and social progress, within the framework of regional integration.

Paraguay’s Vice Minister of Mines and Energy, Mauricio Bejarano, explained that “the objective of this re-launch of the national committee is to make full use of the World Energy Council. The revenues that we can obtain from this organization are many; consequently, through this forum we are looking for notoriety, that it takes on more importance and the whole country knows that we are in this process”.

The Forum was also attended by Christoph Frei from WEC, who developed the theme: “The Great Transition of Energy”.
