ARPEL and OLADE signed the technical cooperation agreement during the South American Energy Forum held in UNASUR.

The South American Energy Forum held in UNASUR just finished this September 11. During this important event, OLADE had the opportunity to sign a technical cooperation agreement with the Regional Association of Oil, Gas and Biofuels Sector Companies in Latin America and the Caribbean (ARPEL). The agreement will remain in force for three years.

OLADE and ARPEL have been jointly working and have shown mutual interest in further expanding the scope of their cooperation by signing this cooperation agreement that aims to carry out actions of technical and institutional cooperation on energy, except for those works related to energy development in the region.

We highlight the following agreed cooperation actions:

  • To promote mutual cooperation in its regional activities in which ARPEL will coordinate with the associated Business Oil & Gas sector and OLADE will do its part with the energy industry representatives of its 27 Member Countries.

  • To perform projects, reports and / or specific studies, events, training relating to the energy sector of Latin America, within the framework of its powers and subject to the availability of resources.
