Andrés Schuschny is the new Director of Studies and Projects of OLADE

Since June 2017, the new Director of Studies and Projects of the Permanent Secretariat, Andrés Ricardo Schuschny joined the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE). He replaced Jorge Asturias, a former official who remained for 6 years in office. OLADE thanks the outgoing Director for the work carried out, who will continue with his contribution to OLADE.

Andrés Schuschny, of Argentine nationality, is involved in OLADE’s work team, with the objective of supporting and strengthening the management of the current Executive Secretary, Alfonso Blanco, who seeks to consolidate OLADE as the main technical body in Latin America and the Caribbean in matters related to energy.
His duties will be oriented to support and provide technical assistance to the Member Countries of the Organization in order to modernize the information systems and to carry out studies and projects that promote the security of the supply and reliable, safe and sustainable supply of Energy in economically convenient conditions.

Andrés Schuschny, has a degree in Physics from the University of Buenos Aires. He made postgraduate courses in Italy and Brazil. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires. He has also worked as a university professor in undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Universities of; Buenos Aires, Quilmes National, Santiago de Chile, University of Chile, Universitat Jaume I of Castellón and Universitá di Bologna.
